Horses Empowering Youth

Helping Empower Youth (HEY) Program

The Helping Empower Youth (HEY) program is a groundbreaking partnership with Camille Creek Community School in Napa, designed to provide a hands-on, transformative experience for teens. This unique program combines equine-assisted learning with essential life skills training to empower disenfranchised youth to overcome challenges and build a brighter future.

Camille Creek Community School’s mission is to empower our county’s most disenfranchised youth toward a productive future through restorative relationships, targeted instruction, and inspiring opportunities for growth. Through HEY, we align our missions to create a meaningful and impactful program that invests deeply in these young individuals.

The Helping Empower Youth (HEY) Program is more than just a learning experience—it’s a transformative journey that equips teens with the tools they need to thrive. Why Horses?

Training and building relationships with horses teach compassion, problem-solving, and communication skills. Horses naturally respond to human behavior, offering immediate feedback that helps students develop resilience, confidence, and empathy. Students build essential leadership qualities through regular interactions while experiencing the therapeutic and empowering benefits of working with these incredible animals.

Inspiring Futures

HEY goes beyond skills training by introducing students to inspiring career paths. Guest speakers from diverse backgrounds share their journeys and careers. These opportunities expose students to possibilities in college, trade schools, or careers that rely on determination and grit rather than formal education. This exposure broadens their horizons and ignites ambition for a productive future.

Through HEY, students will:
  • Develop life skills that prepare them for personal and professional success.
  • Gain confidence and resilience through hands-on equine experiences.
  • Discover career paths and educational opportunities aligned with their interests.
  • Build a sense of belonging and purpose through community involvement.
